ABOUT

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
بسم الله
In my younger years, I never truly appreciated the blessings that can be found in the early hours of the morning. Now, at 27 — as a busy wife and mother — I find myself racing (though not always successfully) to catch those fleeting 5 a.m. moments. A quiet home before the day begins, and in that peace, I’m reminded that true contentment — Qana‘ah — doesn’t come from what we have, but from the One we turn to.
Qahwa & Qana‘ah is intended to be a cosy corner of the internet. A space for Muslim women who, like myself, want to slow down, live with contentment, and find joy in the everyday moments — whether it’s through motherhood, homemaking, or personal growth.
Here, I’ll be navigating life as an ordinary, practising Muslimah living in the West. I'll be sharing personal experiences, tried-and-tested routines, and gentle reminders rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, all served with a warm cup of Qahwa and a heart full of gratitude. In these pages, I hope you are able to find the calm in your busy days, the strength to embrace your struggles, and a companion in your journey through the Dunya.
Whether it's a thought that inspires gratitude, quick recipes for busy days, practical tips for motherhood or a reminder to embrace the now, my hope is that each post leaves you a little lighter, a little calmer, and a little more connected to your Lord.
May Allaah fill our days with Qana‘ah, our homes with Barakah, and our hearts with Sabr.
Grab your cup, take a deep breath, and bismillah — let’s tread through this Dunya together إن شاء الله
— your sister in Islaam,
